Custom Walk-In Closet Designed, Framed, and Built from the Ground Up in Germantown, TN

Phillips Property Solutions, LLC. completed a full custom closet installation in a master bedroom suite in Germantown, TN, creating a new large master walk-in closet out of extra bedroom space. The project began with design work, including drawing plans and detailed 3D renderings that showed the layout and product dimensions. The renderings allowed the client to see proposed finishes and colors, and to get a clear idea of the final result before construction began.

Once the client approved the plans, we moved into the hands-on phase. The team framed the new closet area and installed a pocket door to maximize usable space. While framing, we protected the existing flooring so the rest of the bedroom remained undisturbed during construction. We also ran new electrical to accommodate the upgraded lighting plans.

After rough-in work, we installed drywall and sheetrock to create clean, finished surfaces. All walls and ceilings were painted to match the design intent shown in the renderings, keeping the look cohesive with the chosen finishes. Painting was done with careful masking around the protected floors and existing trim.

The centerpiece of the project was a completely custom closet system, built to the specifications shown in the design. This system features 20 inch deep units, arranged as a mix of drawers and hanging space to meet practical storage needs. One drawer was made specifically to accept a custom watch winder, providing a secure and convenient home for timepieces. The system also includes wardrobes with glass doors, and a built-in dresser topped with overhead glass door cabinetry for display and storage.

All closet components were finished in a crisp, clean white and fitted with matte black hardware. We matched the pocket door hardware in matte black so the finishes read consistently across the whole space. Baseboard trim was installed and precisely fit to the custom closet system, then painted to match both the walls and the closet cabinets for a seamless transition.

To improve functionality and visibility, track lighting was installed on each his and hers side of the closet. The new lighting, combined with the white finishes and glass-front cabinets, creates a bright, organized space that makes clothes and accessories easy to find and visually appealing.
