Kitchen Remodel in East Memphis, TN

Phillips Property Solutions completed this kitchen remodel in Memphis, TN that focused on updating the island and refreshing the entire room. The project began with removing the overhanging cabinets on the kitchen island and relocating them to a new position that fit the updated layout. This change opened up the island footprint while preserving valuable cabinet storage for the homeowner.

After relocating the island cabinets, our team refinished the existing cabinets throughout the kitchen. We applied a sage green paint to the cabinet faces, then installed new hardware to modernize the look. The cabinets were also framed in to give a more finished, built-in appearance. These steps refreshed the cabinets without a full replacement, saving time and reducing waste.

New quartz countertops were installed across the kitchen. The quartz provides a durable, low-maintenance surface that coordinates with the sage green cabinetry. We also added a matching backsplash to tie the counters and cabinets together visually, creating a cohesive design that is easy to clean and maintain. As part of the countertop work, a new undermount kitchen sink was installed. 

To improve the room’s lighting and balance, the existing flush mount light was relocated to the center of the kitchen space. Moving the fixture helped distribute light more evenly over the main work areas and complemented the refreshed finishes. 

Finally, the kitchen walls received a fresh coat of paint, chosen to complement the sage green cabinetry and quartz surfaces. The wall paint brightened the room and provided a neutral backdrop for the new finishes. All painting and refinishing were completed with attention to straight lines and clean edges, especially where cabinets meet walls and backsplash.

We completed this kitchen remodel by combining cabinet relocation and refinishing, new quartz countertops and backsplash, an undermount sink installation, light relocation and installation, and wall painting. The result is an updated kitchen layout and cohesive aesthetic that preserves storage while giving the space a refreshed, modern appearance.
