Phillips Property Solutions, LLC. completed several home renovation projects for a homeowner in Lakeland, TN, converting an existing large upstairs bonus room into a new bedroom with a large closet, and renovating the laundry area to add function and storage.
For the upstairs work, our team framed in the new bedroom within the existing bonus room. We installed a new door and framed a large closet inside the space. The closet includes built-in shelving that was integrated during framing to provide organized storage without sacrificing floor area.
New hardware was installed on the door and closet so the openings are both functional and consistent in appearance. We finished the new bedroom, closet, and remaining bonus area with fresh paint to create a cohesive look across the entire upstairs space.
In the laundry area we ran the plumbing required for a farmhouse-style sink, making sure the sink location had proper water supply and drainage. We installed new base cabinet units to provide under-counter storage and a beverage refrigerator for added convenience.
The laundry countertops are custom butcher block, selected and installed to fit the new cabinetry and appliance layout. Above the counter we installed LED backlit wall shelving to give the space both task lighting and a clean display area for items that need to be kept close at hand.
All painted surfaces in the laundry received fresh paint to match the updated cabinetry and shelving, tying the room together visually. Hardware and finishes were chosen to coordinate with the farmhouse sink and butcher block countertops.
Throughout both projects our crew followed the planned scope, moving from framing to installation and finishing in logical stages so each area was completed properly before final touches. The work combined carpentry for framing and shelving, plumbing for the sink, cabinetry and countertop installation, and the installation of fixtures and appliances.
